The Center for Bone Health in Fort Collins is proud to offer Northern Colorado patients with bone density tests to screen and evaluate for osteoporosis.

The Center for Bone Health focuses on bone mineral density testing by using central DXA technology. We employ the latest densitometry technology from Hologic, including a densitometer and integrated imaging software.

James D. Hendrick, MD, FACP is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist and serves as Medical Director of the Center for Bone Health in Fort Collins, CO. He has spent decades interpreting bone density (DXA) studies and helping to prevent fractures.

Dr. Hendrick provides DXA interpretation and fracture risk assessment in accordance with guidelines from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry, the National Osteoporosis Foundation, and the World Health Organization. He strives to provide bone density interpretations that are accurate, complete, and clinically useful to the treating physician.

Getting Started

If you think you should have a bone density test, first talk to your doctor for a referral. You can download a bone density scan referral form and give it to your doctor. Their office can fax it back to us at 877-489-6002, and we will call you to schedule your appointment.
